Super professional staff who made me feel safe; everything was double-checked and then checked again by another staff member. A solo skydive, is an unforgettable experience for the brave and adventurous. This adrenaline-filled adventure requires courage, focus and trust in one's instructor and training. If you can keep a cool head under stress and are looking for the wildest adrenaline rush, a solo skydive is probably something for you.
A solo jump differs from a tandem jump in that you, as a jumper, make your jump without being attached to an instructor. At Dropzone Denmark you can take the AFF skydiving course (Accelerated Free Fall) where you can experience free fall right from your first jump, which is from 15,000 feet. Even though you control your own destiny in the air during your solo jump, we must make sure that you have the training and skills required before jumping.
You do not need any previous skydiving experience to make a solo jump. There is therefore not a requirement that you have performed a tandem jump before your first solo jump.
You can choose to do a single solo skydive, or continue your journey into the sport of skydiving and possibly obtain a USPA skydiving license that is recognized worldwide.

Do you want to learn to skydive on your own and become a certified skydiver? At Dropzone Denmark, we offer an intensive skydiving course where you can complete the instructor heavy beginning of your skydiver training in just one week.
The course is called Skydiver in a week and is a structured AFF skydiving course, where theory, training, and jumps are combined in one cohesive program over the span of a week. The goal is to give you an effective and safe start to your skydiving career with maximum progression and close instruction.
This skydiver course is ideal for you who want to learn skydiving quickly and with continuity, instead of spreading the training over a longer period (which is ofcourse also possible).
The price of a skydiving experience depends on several factors. This is perhaps the question we get asked most often, and it is impossible to give a concrete answer without considering the type of experience you are looking for, your level of experience, and how you want your jump documented.
Skydiving can be an activity you try just once, or it could be the start of a journey to become an experienced skydiver.
Additionally, you need to choose the jump altitude. There is a significant difference between a 6,000 ft. and a 25,000 ft. skydive, both in terms of price and the overall experience.
Finally, your tandem jump will, of course, need to be documented! Will you be satisfied with a Dropzone Denmark diploma confirming your jump, or would you like to relive the experience with a professional photo and video package? You actually have three different package options to choose from

At Dropzone Denmark, you will make your skydive from a Cessna 208. It is the fastest and largest skydiving plane in Denmark, accommodating up to 20 people on board. So if you come with your friends, there are great opportunities for all of you to jump at the same time.

We have ample indoor seating. However, we warmly recommend sitting outside on the terrace. Here, you can enjoy the lovely weather while watching the impressive landings of skydivers right in front of you. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!
You can enjoy our free parking, right outside the main building. There we have approximately 50 parking spaces, and more at the airports head quarters, that are in the next building. On site, we also have free Wi-Fi access, so just ask the receptionist for the password!
After a day of adrenaline-filled skydiving, there is nothing better than relaxing and recovering in our sauna and hot tub. We usually have the sauna and hot tub ready during skydiving events, but if not, they can always be activated for a small fee of 200 DKK per session.
It’s the perfect way for tired skydivers to unwind, soothe their muscles, and recharge after a physically demanding day in the air.

If you are one of the many people who are afraid that the parachute will not unfold, then we have good news for you.
A modern parachute is made up of several layers of backup systems. Should, against all expectations, something happen that gets in the way of the main parachute being released correctly, there is always a spare parachute. The reserve parachute can be released manually, but if the jumper does not release the parachute themselves, there is an electronic safety release that is activated automatically.
Over the years, the sport of skydiving has developed quite a bit, both in terms of quality of the equipment, but we have also gained a lot of experience. Statistics from the USPA (United States Parachute Association), of which Dropzone Denmark is a part, show that the sport is becoming safer year by year, with the number of jumps made each year increasing significantly.
According to the statistics, only 6% of skydivers in 2023 reported injuries that required treatment by a doctor. The most frequent injury was ankle injury on landing. In addition, it has been reported that there were 10 fatal accidents in the United States in 2023, which makes 0.27 deaths per 100,000 skydives or 0.000275% probability of a skydiving fatality (1).
With regard to tandem jumps, it is categorized as a recreational activity by insurance companies here in Denmark. Which means that they have assessed that a tandem jump is an activity that, in terms of risk, is in the same category as a trip to Legoland or another of your favorite recreational park. Whereas solo jumping is categorized as an extreme or dangerous sport on an equal footing with sports such as horse riding, go-karting and kitesurfing (2).
So yes, there is of course some risk associated with skydiving, as there is with most everything else. But the risk is extremely minimal, and here at Dropzone Denmark, your safety is always our top priority.
