A tandem jump is for those who want to experience the thrill of a lifetime, where you can feel the rush and enjoy the view over Jutland. We offer skydiving both from Herning in Central Jutland and from Sindal in North Jutland. Both locations have their own charm, where you can enjoy the view over the heart of Jutland from Herning, and in Sindal, you will have the pleasure of seeing Skagen from above.

With a tandem jump, you are strapped to one of our professional tandem instructors. Their primary focus will be your safety while giving you the experience of a lifetime. The instructor keeps track of all the practicalities and makes sure you land safely on solid ground, so you can focus on enjoying your experience to the fullest.

Before your tandem jump, you will receive a short briefing of just about 5 minutes, after which you will be dressed in the necessary equipment and given instructions on how to be during the jump. No prior experience or training is required to try a tandem jump, and we will make sure you have all the necessary information before you make your skydive.

At Dropzone Denmark you will find the largest selection of jump heights in Denmark. We jump from 6,500 - 25,000 feet, which includes both Denmark's and Europe's highest skydives.

A solo skydive, is an unforgettable experience for the brave and adventurous. This adrenaline-filled adventure requires courage, focus and trust in one's instructor and training. If you can keep a cool head under stress and are looking for the wildest adrenaline rush, a solo skydive is probably something for you.

A solo jump differs from a tandem jump in that you, as a jumper, make your jump without being attached to an instructor. At Dropzone Denmark you can take the AFF course (Accelerated Free Fall) where you can experience free fall right from your first jump, which is from 15,000 feet. Even though you control your own destiny in the air during your solo jump, we must make sure that you have the training and skills required before jumping.

You do not need any previous skydiving experience to make a solo jump. There is therefore not a requirement that you have performed a tandem jump before your first solo jump.

You can choose to do a single solo skydive, or continue your journey into the sport of skydiving and possibly obtain a USPA skydiving license that is recognized worldwide. In addition, you can also choose whether it suits you to make your solo jump from Herning in Central Jutland or in Northern Jutland - in Sindal.

The fastest and largest plane for skydiving in Denmark

At Dropzone Denmark, you will make your skydive from a Cessna 208. It is the fastest and largest skydiving plane in Denmark, accommodating up to 20 people on board. So if you come with your friends, there are great opportunities for all of you to jump at the same time.

When hunger or thirst strikes during your visit to Herning, feel free to visit our café/bar, NOMAD. Here we offer a selection of delicious snacks, meals, and drinks to satisfy your cravings.

Sindal - Northern Jutland

At the drop zone in Sindal, we do not offer a traditional café, but we always ensure that freshly brewed coffee, cold drinks, and tasty snacks are available for our guests. You are also very welcome to bring your own food and beverages when you visit us.

For both locations, we have ample indoor seating. However, we warmly recommend sitting outside on the terrace. Here, you can enjoy the lovely weather while watching the impressive landings of skydivers right in front of you. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

Acommodation i Herning

Are you planning a skydive and coming from afar, or do you simply want to enhance your experience? We offer various accommodation options at our location in Herning to meet your needs.

Our well-equipped bunkhouse accommodates 24 people and features separate showers and toilets for ladies and gentlemen. Right next door, you will find our cozy and free campsite, where you can also access electricity for just 50 DKK per day.

In the winter months, from November 1 to March 31, you also have the option to rent one of our charming cabins. The main building is just 50 meters away, ensuring easy access to all necessary facilities.

If you are planning an event in the off-season, you can also rent our facilities during this period.

Tandem jumps and solo skydiving courses

The price of a skydive depends on many things. This is perhaps the question we get most often, and it is impossible to give a concrete answer without taking into account what type of experience you are looking for, what experience you have and how you want to document your jump.

Skydiving may be an activity you will only experience once, but it may also be that you want to train and become an experienced skydiver. In addition, if we look at the price of a tandem jump, you must first choose from which height you would like to perform your skydive. There is a big difference between a 6,500 ft and a 25,000 ft tandem jump, both in terms of price but also the whole experience itself.

Finally, your tandem jump must of course be documented! Are you satisfied enough with a Dropzone Denmark certification of completing your tandem jump, or would you like to be able to relive the jump with a professional photo and video package? Then you also have a decision to make there, because you can actually choose between three different package solutions.

Depending on which experience you are looking for and which combination of additional services you choose, your skydive can cost from:

         Tandem jump: DKK 2,495 - 14,995 DKK

         Solo skydive: DKK 2,995 - 23,495 DKK

Skydivers

The price of a skydive for experienced skydivers and students is then something completely different. Here, the price for a single skydive depends on: whether you are a student or an experienced skydiver, jump height, need for equipment hire and if you need any assistance when packing your own parachute.

So the final price for a single jump for a skydiver can be anything from DKK 180 - 2,110 DKK.

If you are one of the many people who are afraid that the parachute will not unfold, then we have good news for you.

A modern parachute is made up of several layers of backup systems. Should, against all expectations, something happen that gets in the way of the main parachute being released correctly, there is always a spare parachute. The reserve parachute can be released manually, but if the jumper does not release the parachute themselves, there is an electronic safety release that is activated automatically.

Over the years, the sport of skydiving has developed quite a bit, both in terms of quality of the equipment, but we have also gained a lot of experience. Statistics from the USPA (United States Parachute Association), of which Dropzone Denmark is a part, show that the sport is becoming safer year by year, with the number of jumps made each year increasing significantly.

According to the statistics, only 6% of skydivers in 2023 reported injuries that required treatment by a doctor. The most frequent injury was ankle injury on landing. In addition, it has been reported that there were 10 fatal accidents in the United States in 2023, which makes 0.27 deaths per 100,000 skydives or 0.000275% probability of a skydiving fatality (1).

With regard to tandem jumps, it is categorized as a recreational activity by insurance companies here in Denmark. Which means that they have assessed that a tandem jump is an activity that, in terms of risk, is in the same category as a trip to Legoland or another of your favorite recreational park. Whereas solo jumping is categorized as an extreme or dangerous sport on an equal footing with sports such as horse riding, go-karting and kitesurfing (2).

So yes, there is of course some risk associated with skydiving, as there is with most everything else. But the risk is extremely minimal, and here at Dropzone Denmark, your safety is always our top priority.
